In Atelier Gammelgaard every paint colour is made as a painter did for about 200 years ago. Noa Noon travels around the world to find the right raw pigment, from nature or secret places. With the raw pigment, she can reach the exact nuance of paint. Each painting and paper collage is hand painted with this unique paint. Not one is alike, making every artwork one of a kind. 

The black pigment in this artwork is found in Venice. The Brown pigment is found in Kap Verde, Africa.

About the artist:

Noa Noon Gammelgaard is a Danish artist and designer who lives and works in Copenhagen. She works with different assignments, from art direction and graphic work to paintings and making collages. She is a student at The Royal Danish Academy Of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
